Emma Melody

I'm Emma Melody, and I've been writing songs since I was seven, mostly about the things I'm going through, the people around me and all the complicated feelings that come with growing up. My music sits somewhere between soulful pop and emotive singer songwriter, with honest lyrics and melodies that I hope stay with people.

I started out writing songs at home, playing guitar and piano and recording demos whenever I had an idea. Since then, I've been lucky enough to perform at some amazing places, including WOMAD, Farmfest, Bath Carnival, Bath Youth Music Fest, Komedia Bath and The Bath Forum. I've also performed at Birmingham NEC ahead of Busted vs McFly, which was a pretty unforgettable experience.

Winning a local singing competition gave me the chance to start recording professionally with producer Zac Ware, who's also the guitarist with The Proclaimers. Since then, I've been releasing my own music, getting some radio play and learning loads along the way. In 2026, I was also named a Top 10 finalist in the Song Academy Young Songwriter of the Year competition, which was a really lovely surprise.

I'm always writing something new, usually with a guitar or piano nearby. There's more music on the way, so stay tuned and make sure you become a 'melody' and sign up to my mailing list.

In the meantime, have a listen, come and see me play, and give me a follow on Spotify - I really appreciate all the support x
